Melissa Noble is interested in how artistic disciplines are connected and influence one another. Her work is focused primarily on the involvement of the audience in art, specifically on producing spatial awareness through performance and installations. How humans experience space is paramount to their understanding of the world and thus their experience of her art.
Teresa Chapman has been presenting her work under the company name Chapman Dance for over a decade in Houston. Known for her full-bodied, athletic dancing and choreography, Chapman continues to produce works that celebrate the Human spirit.
Chapman Dance will also present excerpts of French Sweets, Chapman’s latest repertory work. French Sweets is the second in a trilogy of dances under construction for an evening-length performance to be presented at Midtown Arts Theater Center, Houston September 11-13, 2020.
