Blaffer Art Museum

An exhibition of writing and artwork from students of professor Josie Mitchell’s IART 2300: Arts in Houston.
Inspired by the city and its eclectic art scene, students of the Interdisciplinary Studies course IART 2300: “Arts in Houston” respond to the city through an exhibition of student writing and artwork. Throughout the spring semester, students visited various museums, performances, cultural sites, and met with a variety of Houston-based artists. Through these interactions students developed a creative writing practice to respond and contribute to the city’s ever-broadening artistic identity. This event will showcase their interdisciplinary work through a reading and exhibition of original writing and artwork.
