Join Blaffer Director & Chief Curator Dr. Laura Augusta in an exhibition walk-through and informal conversation with two artists represented in the exhibition, Mud + Corn + Stone + Blue. Brothers Francis and Anthony Almendárez are frequent collaborators, whose work has taken many forms, including collaborations, performances, screenings, workshops, and exhibitions presented in museum, university, arts nonprofit, artist-run, virtual, and DIY spaces nationally and internationally. Francis received his MFA in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London, and his BFA in Sculpture / New Genres from Otis College of Art and Design. Anthony received his MFA in Music/Sound from Bard College, his MA in Music Theory and Composition from Marshall University, and his BA in Music Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills. The conversation will be followed by a small reception.
